OUR MISSION
To provide inspiration and affirmation for mothers at all stages through stories, learning, companionship, and reflection in order to celebrate the collective influence of our strength as mothers.
A Unique Collaboration
The shape of our group reflects the heart of our mission. From the beginning, we have been committed to welcoming a broad and diverse community of mothers into our programs, our conversations, and our leadership. What started as a shared effort among dedicated volunteers has grown into a collaborative board where passionate community members and experienced professional leaders work side by side, united by a common goal: supporting and uplifting local moms.
If you’ve been part of our journey for a while, you may notice that our circle continues to evolve. We have recently invited new mothers to join our board, bringing fresh perspectives and energy, while our longtime board members now serve on an Advisory Board, remaining deeply engaged in shaping our vision and guiding our work. Together, this growing community of committed, thoughtful moms is what makes the Mothers Symposium possible, and we are honored to continue building this work—collectively, intentionally, and with care.
The History of the Mothers Symposium
The Mothers Symposium began as a small gathering of women who wanted a meaningful space to explore the experience of motherhood in all its forms—personal, cultural, emotional, and intellectual. What started as an intimate conversation circle has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to honest dialogue, shared wisdom, and mutual support. Over the years, the Symposium has brought together mothers, thinkers, and creators to discuss the evolving landscape of parenting and the many identities we hold. Our mission remains the same: to cultivate connection, reflection, and a deeper understanding of what it means to mother in today’s world.
